I am a helper card

This Scheme provides help to those who need it by arranging drivers to take them to hospital appointments, doing shopping in cases of emergency, helping with children if a parent is suddenly taken ill, or running errands for the sick elderly and lonely. The scheme runs weekly 'pop-ins' on Wednesday mornings from 9-11.30a.m. in the Christ Church Hall, where anyone is welcome to enjoy a cup of coffee and a chat. More particularly the Swan Scheme is there as a lifeline; sympathetic helpers are only a phone call away to help solve problems  which sometimes can seem so insoluble in times of stress. Each house is given a card with a red swan on it, on the back of which are written the names, addresses and telephone numbers of the committee so that people know who they can phone for help. The card can also be displayed in the window to attract attention if assistance is required. All helpers have green cards to display. If you would like to become a helper or if you need help, contact one of the committee  members listed below.
